Green Thumb Industries has plans to add at least 10 mini-dispensaries next to busy Circle K convenience stores in central Florida and coastal St. Petersburg, making your quick stops on the way home, well, a little more convenient.

Customers will be able to purchase from a selection of products including flower, pre-rolls, edibles and vapes at Rise Express, the retail locations housed under the same roof as the convenience stores, but with separate operations, entrances, with security.

Green Thumb CEO Ben Kovler, said in a statement, “The opening of RISE Express stores at Circle K locations is a game-changer. Convenience is a strong channel in retail, and people want more access to cannabis,” he added, "The new RISE Express model is a huge step forward in making it easier and more efficient for patients to purchase high-quality cannabis as part of their everyday routine when stopping by their local convenience store.”

Who can buy the cannabis at the new locations? Floridians who are currently active registered medical marijuana cardholders in the state’s medical marijuana program.
